Charlie Gantt makes first NFL catch

Former Brother Rice and MSU tight end Charlie Gantt made his first NFL catch Friday for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Gantt's catch came in the third quarter of the Chiefs' 14-10 loss to the St. Louis Rams and picked up 16 yards. The pass came from rookie quarterback Ricky Stanzi — the former Iowa QB — who threw the only Kansas City touchdown of the game later in the drive.

Gantt was signed as an undrafted free agent after a solid career at MSU. Gantt was a four-star recruit out of Brother Rice and finished his career at MSU with 65 catches for 951 yards and nine touchdowns.

Fellow Spartan and undrafted free agent Mark Dell has not made a catch since this one in week one. He has been dealing with an injury.

I can't find a video of Gantt's catch online, but here's a video of his most famous catch at MSU. Congrats to Charlie.
