Johnny Adams returns for senior season

It appears Johnny Adams won't make the same questionable jump to the NFL that Edwin Baker did.

Adams had said prior to the Outback Bowl he was looking at his NFL options, and who could blame him? Every junior might as well check everything out. But it appears Adams made a smart decision.

Earlier today, Adams tweeted, "Back in East Lansing for my senior year!!!!!" MSU confirmed as much, saying he is enrolled and attended a team meeting this morning.

With Adams back, MSU has nine of 11 bowl starters returning on defense, including three of four spots in the secondary.

Adams was named First Team All-Big Ten by the coaches and second team by the media this past season. He had three interceptions, three sacks and 51 tackles in his junior season.
