Miami player suspended for hit on Spartan icer

Tyler Biggs of Miami (Ohio) has been suspended for two games by the CCHA for a hit to the head of an MSU player in Friday's overtime contest.

According to the CCHA release: "The action was taken by the league after a review of an incident that occurred near the 3:02 mark of the third period. The review showed the Miami player delivering an illegal hit directly to the head of a Michigan State player."

This is referring to a hit on Matt Grassi, who had to get 8-10 stitches and is out indefinitely with concussion-like symptoms, according to The State News.

Also, here's an explanation of why an Alabama-Huntsville player will be allowed to transfer to MSU for next season and not have to sit out a year.
